Do you choose your life or is it chosen for us? Do you believe in life after life? A soul? A continuation of the picture after death?

Living with spirituality, we cannot escape a term that keeps coming up - preordained. What is meant to be will happen.

If that is the case, then if my suffering is written, why must I choose? Isn’t it all preordained? All written in my book of life? Where then does this preordained destiny come in? Who creates our destiny? Who decides for us? Have you even thought of that?

In this fatalistic philosophy, we forget one very important thought - free will. What is free will?

It is the ability to choose the path your soul will take.

What is Destiny?

Destiny isn’t fatalistic. Destiny isn’t one size fits all. Destiny isn’t lazy or live with what you get in life. Destiny is beautiful.

I would say “Destiny” is like college. You, as a soul, decided to pick a stream. The same way your soul, your consciousness chooses a stream.

The family you are born into and the course you will study are but the lessons you will learn.

So you see, it isn’t fatalistic at all. It’s all about what you do with the life you’ve been given.

The Role of Consciousness and Soul

Within the energy, your ever vast consciousness is your essence - your soul - a primordial being.

This soul came to a point where it questioned: what is life, and do we choose it at all?

That’s when the soul is introduced to destiny.

It’s the sum of all the lessons learned and yet to learn.

For this to happen, the soul asks the consciousness - connect me to Earth.

Earth is the perfect school.

We have opposing emotions at play - conflict and love, sorrow and joy, cruelty and compassion.

Where Free Will Comes In

The soul chooses the stream - that’s destiny. How you act within it - that is free will.

Once you have your curriculum, you are born.

You can learn deeply, ignore, or sleep through life - that choice is yours.

The Purpose of Life

The motivation is self-awareness.

That is life. And that is the purpose of your life.

Do you graduate with karma or dissolve it through compassion?

That depends on your awareness.

We call this wisdom.
