Faith – A Word That Changed My Life

Understanding Faith During Anxiety and Uncertainty

Faith is a simple five letter word that we use so casually in our day to day lives. If I start to count the number of times someone has asked me to have faith, it could take years. But recently I understood that this simple word can change your life.

My family went through a turbulent few months. Everything seemed to be going against us, no matter how hard we tried. No matter how much we prayed. No matter how much we powered through.

I was told to have faith so many times, and I really thought I had it till I realized I didn’t. The thing about having faith is that you must completely surrender and believe that the universe has got your back.

The anxiety and depression I was feeling made it very difficult to believe it. In moments like these many people turn to practices like mindfulness meditation or therapy for anxiety to calm the mind and reconnect with themselves.

Faith, Spirituality, and the Mind

Relinquishing control of the situation seemed like the hardest thing to do. Anxiety often comes from our deep need to control outcomes. When life becomes uncertain, the mind begins to spiral.

Spiritual traditions often remind us that healing is not just psychological but also deeply spiritual. Practices like mindfulness meditation and emotional therapy can help us reconnect with the present moment while allowing space for faith to grow.

Lessons from Lord Krishna and the Bhagavad Gita

In moments like these, I often turn to Lord Krishna and the Bhagavad Gita. And there was something I read that changed everything for me.

Krishna explains that surrender doesn’t mean not caring about the outcome. It’s not about giving up the hard work.

You need to give it your all and leave the outcome to Him.

It’s about trusting that you will be guided. Just like a charioteer guiding a warrior through a battlefield, faith allows us to move forward even when we cannot see the entire path.

Finding Peace Through Faith and Mindfulness

Understanding this changed my life. When you are filled with worry, when you feel bleak and despondent, you must remember that faith will seem tough but that’s when you have to have it the most.

Have faith that what goes up, comes down.
Have faith that what starts, will end.
Have faith that happiness and sadness are cyclic.

Many people today combine spiritual faith with practices like mindfulness meditation and therapy for anxiety to create a balanced path toward emotional healing.

The Role of Faith in Healing Anxiety and Depression

Over the years I have seen that anxiety, depression, PTSD have increased so much in the world. It’s become a tough place with problems that come at you in different ways.

To all the people who feel like they’re in the eye of the storm, know that faith can move mountains.

Faith that you will be guided out of the darkness.
Faith that you are taken care of.
Faith that help will come.

At The Atmann Project, we believe that healing happens when psychological understanding, emotional therapy, and spiritual wisdom come together.
